Prosper Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Lead Administrator with relevant experience (in a school or similar environment) to work at our new school, Gilbert Ward Academy in Blyth to start as soon as possible. This post offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated applicant to join a new special academy to support the Headteacher and Trust Central Team to set up the school administrative function and moving forwards to provide administrative support to the academy. Please note that although this post will be based in Blyth, until the school opens the post will be based within the Prosper Central Operations Team in Newcastle.

Gilbert Ward Academy will be a specialist provision for young people with a diagnosis of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and also for a cohort of young people with ASC. Pupils will be secondary aged - keystage 3 and keystage 4. The school will be located in a new building on Princess Louise Road in Blyth and is due to open during the 2023/2024 academic year. For this post excellent inter-personal skills are essential with the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively, including supporting others within the team. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who is proactive and highly organised in their work.

Experience of working in a school/academy setting is highly desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will:

• Be able to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines

• Be a supportive and co-operative team member with a flexible approach

• Be creative and able to problem solve

• Have proven skills at managing systems

• Have Experience of delivering high quality customer service

Prosper Learning Trust was established in January 2018 with Newcastle Bridges School and Mary Astell Academy. Thomas Bewick School joined the Trust in April 2019, Harry Watts Academy in September 2020 and Gilbert Ward Academy will open during the 2023/2024 academic year. We are striving to build further collaboration across the academies and grow as a multi-academy trust, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with schools outside the MAT for the benefit of our pupils.

The successful candidates will be deployed at Gilbert Ward Academy but will be expected to work at any Prosper Learning Trust site should the need arise
