Prosper Learning Trust currently consists of three schools - Newcastle Bridges School, Thomas Bewick School and Mary Astell Academy, and opening in September 2020, Harry Watts Academy. We are a relatively new trust, having been formed in January 2018 and it is likely that we will expand over the next few years. We are open and welcoming and have excellent relationships with other local schools and trusts.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly motivated professional to the post of Lead Administrator to Harry Watts Academy, Sunderland. It should be noted that the successful candidate will be based within Thomas Bewick School, Newcastle until the new build is open - this is anticipated to be January 2021.

For this post excellent inter-personal skills are essential with the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively including supporting others within the team. The ideal candidate will be expected to organise and supervise the administrative systems within the school and contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who is proactive and highly organised in their work.

The school office is open from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and the successful candidate will be expected to ensure the office is covered across these times.

The successful candidate will:

• be expected to demonstrate flexibility and be available to work additional hours to accommodate occasional evening and special events e.g. CPD sessions, meetings

• be creative and able to problem solve

• be able to plan for and implement new initiatives

• have proven skills at managing systems

• be experienced at school administration and resource management

• have the ability to manage your time effectively, use initiative and be professional with a flexible attitude.

We would like to hear from those candidates who feel that they can demonstrate the characteristics and skills we are looking for and hold the relevant qualifications to meet the demands of this post.

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a range of recruitment checks and to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
