Health & Social Care Officers play a vital role in supporting people in our communities to improve their quality of life. People want to remain as independent in their own home for as long as is possible and our service is here to help them do that.

The Service is a highly personalised service which helps to make this possible by re-enabling people to do things for themselves.

We provide services in the community to support people who require support with their mental health to regain as much independence as possible.

Staff work closely with health colleagues, agencies, and other professionals. The main areas of support are tenancy arrangements, managing money, life skills, personal development, and community engagement. You must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting independence, health, and wellbeing.

Maintaining the dignity of people must always be a priority and successful applicants must be able to deliver support with great sensitivity.

We need Health and Social Care Officers to work in our communities across the city. These posts do not require specific experience or professional qualifications. What they really need is your caring approach, your patience, and your commitment to making a real difference to people’s lives. You may already be providing similar services for friends or relatives.

We need dedicated people to join our team providing this vital service.

Then why not make a career of it?

You need to be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the independence, choice, and dignity.

Being able to work shifts and alternative weekends.

Weekend enhancements are paid as are travel expenses.
