An opportunity has arisen within the Initial Response Service for the role of a family support worker.

The post is based within our MASH we would like people who are confident when working with both families and professionals to gather information, advise and support the work we do with families to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will be expected to evidence excellent communication and IT skills whilst evidencing their ability to prioritise workload in an extremely busy working environment.

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of a range of social work interventions, a commitment to multi-agency working and a sound understanding of children’s social care thresholds is essential for this post.

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of child development, parenting capacity, environmental factors and risk and protective factors.
