37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Additionally, voluntary overtime work and standby arrangements exist.

We have several opportunities for qualified Electricians to join us within our busy Repairs and Maintenance Electrical team.

Primarily working within a domestic environment, our Electrical repair work consists mainly of domestic repairs and maintenance and periodic inspections. These can range from new build properties, renovations, upgrade, and maintenance works across Newcastle City Council and Your Homes Newcastle properties.

Reporting to a Repairs & Construction Manager, you will be expected to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, practices, and standards.

Typically, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of Electrical tasks including all aspects of installation works, (containment, wiring, terminating, inspection, and testing) Maintenance, Servicing and Fault-finding works. All works must be carried out in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations BS7671.
