*This post attracts the Newcastle Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Newcastle Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £9.90 an hour.

We currently have a full-time vacancy for a Domestic within Newcastle City Council’s Care Services team, the post will be based at Byker Lodge, our short-term assessment centre for older people who are living with a cognitive impairment.

This post involves working on the front-line providing domestic and cleaning support within a service that provides a short-term care and assessment service to some of the most vulnerable adults in the city.

We are looking for a dedicated and committed person who can join our existing domestic team to ensure that good cleaning and household standards are maintained.

Being able to work shifts and unsociable hours (including weekends) is essential for all posts.
