Required as soon as possible

Gosforth Group is a fast growing multi-academy trust and we are looking to appoint a forward thinking, dynamic Director of Estates and Facilities who will work across all academy sites and play an important role in the trust’s expansion plans.

Working in partnership with the trust’s leadership teams, the Director of Estates and Facilities will have responsibility for ensuring that all the schools are safe, secure, accessible and welcoming for visitors and members of staff, as well as making sure the environments are at the highest quality so that students and the trust can develop and achieve their potential.

As well as being responsible for all buildings and premises within the trust, the Director of Estates and Facilities will lead on health and safety, including the security and welfare of its students, staff, and visitors.

A key player, the Director of Estates and Facilities will develop, implement and lead on a MAT-wide estate development strategy, managing and planning key maintenance and all capital works across the estate, including the tendering, letting, implementation and the management of contracts and contractors alike.

This is an exciting time within the trust with two new school builds planned for opening in 2025. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate a strong working background within estates and facilities, coupled with the experience of leading on capital projects and working to strict financial and time-sensitive deadlines.

Gosforth Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
