The role will involve working closely with our families to achieve the best for our children.

Our school values of love and determination help us achieve our mission to educate and inspire young people within the ethos which make our school distinctive. Our warm relationships and restorative approach to behaviour is a key feature of our school.

There will be a planned teaching role which will be agreed in discussion with the successful candidate.

• Is able to translate school improvement priorities into practical actions which support and empower pupils and staff to succeed

• Has experience of monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning, analysing data and target setting

• Supports a culture of self-evaluation and has demonstrated commitment, engagement and involvement in the school development planning process

• Is a team leader who effectively manages their own behaviour and relationships with others to provide appropriate support and challenge

• Models good practice and leads by example with integrity, positivity, resilience and clarity and with experience of developing and coaching colleagues

• Is forward thinking, passionate and committed to enabling high quality learning experiences

• Can promote and uphold the strong Christian ethos of the school

• Will enhance the calm and purposeful learning environment that we have created

• Can balance the demands of being a teacher with those of being a leader.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will act as SENCo and, therefore, must either hold, or be willing to work towards, Masters-level National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, over the next three years, supported by the school.

In return, we offer:

• delightful, motivated children who are keen to learn

• supportive parents and carers

• an inclusive, caring and supportive working environment

• a supportive Headteacher and Governing Body who will support your career development

• enthusiastic staff

• the benefits of working in the collaborative Gosforth Schools Trust
