This post provides a fantastic opportunity to be part of our innovative Community Wellbeing team delivering key areas of the Newcastle Neighbourhood programme of work. Transforming the way services are delivered across our city, this role will be vital in shaping how we embed asset-based development approaches and principles in how we work. At the core is recognising, valuing and building on the strengths of individuals, communities, associations and services that strengthen relationships and connects people together to mobilise and take collaborative community driven change.

You need to be passionate about what you do, have an interest and understanding of participation and co-production, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working both independently and with team members across a range of professions. Have the skills to connect and build collaboration across neighborhoods specifically having a knowledge of building links with Newcastle voluntary and community sector, private industry and reaching people who are not engaged.

You should be creative and open to new thinking, facilitating opportunities for innovative ideas to be developed with an ability to marshal these and build them into agreed goals and actions.
