£25,991 - £28,672 per annum, pro rata (£22,902 - £25,264 actual salary)

The Governor Services team who operate within the School Effectiveness team at Newcastle City Council are looking to recruit three Clerks to Governing Bodies. The persons appointed will have a caseload of governing boards for which they are the clerk. This will entail providing advice and support to the governors and school / academy leaders including procedural advice; preparing agendas and sending papers; taking minutes of meetings and keeping records of membership.

The persons appointed will have excellent organisational and people skills, the ability to communicate effectively and have a high standard of written English.

The job will involve evening working and travel to schools mainly across the City.

The role is full time, term time only with 6 additional days to be worked in the school holidays.
