£21,029 pro rata, per annum (£10.90 per hour, inclusive of Real Living Wage)

2 posts 15 hours per week:

Post 1 - Thursday & Friday 9.00am - 12.30pm , Saturday & Sunday 9.00am -1.00pm

Post 2 - Monday & Tuesday 9.00am - 12.30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9.00am - 1.00pm

An opportunity exists for 2 suitable individuals to work within the Operations Division of Facility Services as a Cleaner at Byker Community Trust within the Byker Wall.

This role will include maintaining good working relationships with members of the public, whilst delivering cleaning quality standards in accordance with agreed procedures.

The duties will include to undertake the cleaning of designated areas, in accordance with agreed specifications and including fixtures and fittings, including: -

• Emptying of bin rooms and removing waste to the designated area

• Washing with mops and cloths

• Sweeping with brushes and sweeping mops

• Vacuum cleaning

• Dusting

• Cleaning of lifts

• Litter picking

Byker Wall is a vast site which will require a good level of fitness as there is a lot of walking and climbing of stairs.

It is also essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and moving of equipment throughout the site.

You should be reliable and have a strong commitment to high standards of service and customer care.
