£19,312 - £20,493 per annum

Facility Services and Civic Management

37 hours per week (split shift). Morning: 6.00am to 10.00am and Afternoon: 2.45pm to 6.10pm

An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work as a Facility Supervisor at English Martyrs Primary School. English Martyrs is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust and is sited in Beaufront Gardens, Newcastle upon Tyne.

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have good communications skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, be capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment, materials/furniture and are able to climb ladders.

Typical duties within this post will encompass responsibility to carry out the various policies and procedures associated with the operation of the facility You will be responsible for the security of the premises, setting alarms, general health and safety issues relating to the building, as well as a range of porterage duties. There will be a responsibility for the supervision of cleaning staff.

You will be expected to be able to deal with varying workloads and you must be able to manage your own time.

There will need to be a degree of flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar e.g. parents’ evenings, governing body meetings, Christmas and summer fairs etc. You will be expected to be available to undertake lettings for the school when required.

Experience within cleaning, DIY and caretaking would be an advantage. You should be reliable and have a strong commitment to high standards of service and customer care.
