Governors of this popular and diverse inner- city school are seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced candidate.

Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we are looking for an Assistant Headteacher for Summer term 2022 (preferred date or as soon after). The role will involve leading on vital areas in school, as well as supporting and empowering staff to ensure genuine improvements in our children’s outcomes.

We are a larger than average 2 form entry Primary school in the West End of Newcastle. We currently have approximately 470 children on roll, the vast majority of whom speak English as an additional language.

We serve an extremely diverse community and are very proud of our inclusive, supportive culture.

Excellent teaching and learning is at the centre of everything we do, and our highly skilled staff are always looking for ways to improve their practice.

Our children are taught in small focused teaching groups to ensure every child really does get precisely what they need to progress. In 2018, we were placed in the top 2% of schools nationally for progress. Our staff are happy, motivated and always willing to go the extra mile. Our Senior Leaders play a vital role in school; leading their own areas of responsibility by example whilst supporting and developing staff to become excellent leaders in their own right.
