*£10.38 per hour, inclusive of the Newcastle Living Wage and additional supervisory uplift

*This post attracts the Newcastle Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Newcastle Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £9.90 an hour.

Facility Services and Civic Management

37 hours per week (alternating shifts) 2-week pattern: 6.45am - 2.45pm and 2.00pm -10.00pm, Monday to Friday (inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break)

An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within Facility Services as

an Assistant Facility Supervisor at Gosforth Academy.

Typical duties within this post will encompass responsibility to carry out the various policies and procedures associated with the operation of the facility. Specifically, those relating to the cleaning of the premises, security and access, maintenance and repair, health and safety and a range of general and porterage duties.

It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment, materials and furniture and be able to climb ladders. Experience within cleaning, DIY and caretaking would be an advantage. You should be reliable and have a strong commitment to high standards of service and customer care.

You will be required to work on an alternative shift basis. These hours will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
