Newcastle Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership

Newcastle Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership

The Newcastle Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership is made up of services that work with babies, children, young people and their families in Newcastle. This is a mix of public sector organisations such as the Council, Northumbria Police, schools and the NHS, and others such as the City’s universities and voluntary organisations.

The Partnership listen to the voices of children and young people to help decide how they can make Newcastle a city where all babies, children and young people grow up well. Our ambition is that they:

1. Feel happy and healthy

2. Feel safe

3. Feel ready for their next steps

The work of the Newcastle Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership reports to the

City’s Health and Wellbeing Board, and in turn oversees the work of other groups in the City that work with babies, children and young people.

Newcastle Plan for Children and Young people

The Newcastle Plan for Children and Young people sets out:

  • the positive difference we want to make to children, young people and their families in Newcastle
  • how we are going to achieve it.

We are really pleased that the plan has been shaped by what children and young people have told us is important, the views of our staff and the latest facts and figures about life in Newcastle.
