Brownfield Land Register

The Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017 require local authorities to prepare, maintain, and publish a register of brownfield land which is suitable, available, and achievable for residential development. The register has been introduced to help ensure that 90% of suitable brownfield sites have planning permission for housing by 2020.

Newcastle City Council’s Brownfield Land Register was published on 20th December 2017, and is available to view below. The Brownfield Land Register will be updated annually.
