The Building Control Service comprises an experienced team of professionals with a commitment to the delivery of efficient, valued and cost effective services, tailored where appropriate and desired to meet our client’s needs.  The service offered is outlined in our building regulations prospectus.

Pre-application advice

Early consultation can help the design team to control cost and reduce risk of delay in design and construction.  A pre-application enquiry can be useful to confirm the building regulation requirements applicable to the development proposals or in agreeing the ability of design proposals to comply with building regulation requirements such as fire safety, means of escape and accessibility.

Pre-application advice can take the form of a meeting at our office or your local office and documented assessment reports can be provided. Liaison with other Council services can be arranged on request as well as consultation with Fire Service and Water Authority.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss your proposals before submitting a formal building regulation application.  The service is free of charge.
