In most cases walls and fences that surround a property or field are erected and maintained by the owner of the land.

Their purpose is to provide security, privacy and to mark boundaries between different land owners.

We maintain and repair walls that support the structure of the highway, called highway retaining walls. Examples are:

  • walls against land that has been excavated to form a highway
  • parapet walls on bridges
  • walls providing a safety barrier for example, a steep drop at the other side of the wall.
