Parking Permits LogoIf you are a frequent user of the city centre car parks in Newcastle upon Tyne then you may be interested in our range of "City Park" permits.  A City Park permit does away with the need to carry or find change for your parking session and also includes a discount built in to the price.

All of our permits can be taken out for 3, 6 or 12 months at a time and each permit can have up to two vehicle registrations printed on it for added security.

We currently offer four different types of permit - Silver, Gold, Gold+ and Platinum.

Silver permit applications must be for 5 or more hours per day and a minimum of 3 days a week.  The times you want to park must be the same each day.  Your permit can be valid on any days you choose (for example, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am - 4.30pm).  There are no allocated bays for Silver permit holders, but the permit allows you to park in any normal bay at the times you choose. Please note that the Silver permit is not valid for Gold, Gold Plus or Platinum permit bays and is not transferrable to another car park if all the available pay and display bays are taken. If you are likely to be parking in a car park at a time of high occupancy, please contact Newcastle Parking Services on 0191 277 2728 to discuss your options.

An estimate of the cost of a silver parking permit can be obtained by using the online calculator. An exact price for the silver permit will be subsequently calculated by the parking permit department when an application for a parking permit is submitted and any recent changes in tariffs or fixed daily charges will be taken into account.

Apply for your permit using our online application form or request an application form on 0191 277 2728.  Due to an increase in demand for City Park permits recently, please be advised that any application submitted to Newcastle Parking Services may take up to 14 days for an offer to be issued. This will therefore affect any date you wish the permit to commence.

If you have further queries you can also email us via cityparkpermits@newcastle.gov.uk.  Please be advised that we aim to respond to queries (other than applications for permits) within 3 working days.
