Newcastle Stakeholders Forum

Newcastle Stakeholders Forum

The Newcastle Cycling Stakeholders Forum has been set up to bring together people with an interest in cycling in the city.

The forum is not a decision making body but it does provide the opportunity for those with an interest in cycling to influence the policies and services that the council and its partners provide for cyclists.  The Forum is governed by Terms of Reference (pdf, 105kb).

The forum meets every two months and acts to influence and monitor the delivery of agreed council policy and budget proposals. It may be asked to create task and finish groups around certain themes that require additional work.

The Cycling Stakeholders Forum will make recommendations and observations that will be fed to the Healthy Streets Board that is responsible for the delivery of cycling infrastructure in Newcastle.

The forum is made up of people from key groups and organisations, which nominate representatives to attend. Members of the public who wish to attend are also welcome to do so.

You can request items for discussion at a forum meeting or join the group email list by emailing cycling@newcastle.gov.uk

Meetings take place at 6pm on the third Thursday of every other month, normally at Newcastle Civic Centre.
