Special Olympics is coming to Newcastle
Speical Olympics

The Olympics programme is coming to Newcastle in 2019, helping people with disabilities to achieve make friends, have fund, become physically fitter and achieve their sporting dreams.

Special Olympics Gateshead, Tyne & Wear is a registered charity and sporting club, which provides weekly sport training to children (from the age of 6) and adults with disabilities in 9 sports:

  • athletics
  • boccia
  • cycling
  • football
  • short mat bowls
  • swimming
  • table tennis
  • ten pin bowling

To then allow athletes to compete in regional, national and even internaitional competitions. The Olympics programme is coiming to Newcastle in 2019, helping people with disabilities to achieve make new friends, have fun, become physically fitter and achieve their sporting dreams.
