Bin collections

If your bin is due to be collected on Good Friday (30 March), it will now be collected between Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April 2018.

Please put your bin out for collection on Saturday morning, and we will collect it over the weekend.

Libraries

All our libraries will be closed on Good Friday (30 March), Easter Sunday (1 April) and Easter Monday (2 April).

Libraries due to open on Saturday 31 March will be open as normal. Find out branch opening hours for libraries in Newcastle on this webpage.

Civic Centre

Please note that the Civic Centre will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. The underground car park will still be open and access from there will still be available through the usual routes.

There’s loads going on at our venues over the Easter holidays. At Discovery Museum, follow the clues to find the hidden Easter eggs or bag a place at Magic School for Mini Magicians on 9/10 April. Booking essential, £5/7 per child.

Create your spring inspired design in foam using different mark making tools at Great North Museum: Hancock, Tuesday 3 April, 11am-2pm, drop in, free.

There are free art workshops for children and young people at Hatton Art Gallery, 3-4 & 10-11 April. Enrol your youngsters for Art Academy at Laing Art Gallery, 3-5 or 10-12 April, £75 per course.
