A move to the City Library for the Civic Centre Customer Service Centre
Customers who use the Civic Centre Customer Service Centre will find it in its new location at the City Library from April.
The move from its current location is the first step for the council to achieve its ambition of establishing a series of community and information hubs across the city. These will provide local people with easy access to many of the services they need in convenient locations, placing many of these at the heart of communities.
Most of the current services that have been offered at the Civic Centre will now be available in a new purpose built space at the library, alongside Your Homes Newcastle’s (YHN) Housing Options service, Citizens Advice and Connexions.
And the new easy to use, self-service options will result in customers being dealt with more quickly and a reduction in waiting times. Extra support will be given to customers who really need it, particularly those that are applying for benefits.
