Have you got time to make a difference ?
Ever wondered how well the Council and YHN deliver housing services?
Wondered who makes changes to the way the service is run? Puzzled over why things sometimes change?
Well, here's your chance to find out more.
Newcastle City Council has appointed an independent advisor to recruit people to sit on a Scrutiny Panel. Membership of the panel is open to both tenants and leaseholders.
Scrutiny will be all about investigating how well the housing service is performing and, where appropriate, recommending action for change. You don't have to be any kind of expert and there is a full programme of training and support.
If you want to know more, you can contact the independent adviser direct on 0800 612 8280 (freephone) or email Eileen Adams on firstname.lastname@example.org
There are also drop-in sessions where you can find out more. These will be at the Civic Centre (Bewick/Dobson Room) on:
- Tuesday, 28 February (6-7:30pm)
- Saturday, 4 March (2-3:30pm)
- Monday, 6 March (2-3:30pm)
