Cllr Kim McGuinness, Newcastle City Council's cabinet member for culture and communities responds to the wonderful news that BBC One’s Antiques Roadshow will be visiting the Civic Centre on Thursday 26 October 2017 as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations. She said: “What a privilege it is for the Civic Centre to be the chosen venue to welcome the world famous Antiques Roadshow to Newcastle. Newcastle is renowned for a fascinating history and heritage and for hosting some of Europe’s leading festivals and events. Hosting the Antiques Roadshow in its 40th year is a great honour and will build on our reputation as a great northern city.

“We hope residents and visitors to the area make the most of this opportunity and bring along their antiques and keepsakes; and unlock a little of their history and the history of our great city.”
