Exhibition Park is currently undergoing a £3million redevelopment funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Please expect some disruption in the park, with limited access to some areas from now until late Summer 2014. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this redevelopment.

Brandling Park is a small park linked to Exhibition Park by a lit underpass.  

Opening times

Exhibition Park is open at all times but due to refurbishment some areas may currently have limited access.


Brandling and Exhibition Park are situated in the wards of South Jesmond and Wingrove close to Newcastle city centre. The main entrance to Exhibition Park is on Claremont Road.


Exhibition Park boasts many facilities including a large playground, outdoor gym tennis courts, a basketball court, skakepark and a lake.

Exhibition Park also plays host to the unique Tyneside Society of Model and Experimental Engineers (TSMEE) who operate a miniature railway in the park. For more information, visit the TSMEE website.


Exhibition Park is quite flat with most places accessible to wheelchair users and people using pushchairs. However, there are some steep slopes leading into the park from the underpasses leading from Brandling Park and the main entrance on Claremont Road.

The nearest bus stops are located on Claremont Road.


the nearest metro stations are Haymarket and Monument.


There is a metered public car park very close to the park entrance on Claremont Road.
