About Kenton Library

The library offers the very best in services. You can borrow books and have free access to information, newspapers, magazines, and computers and serve yourself at our self-service terminals. At Kenton Library you can access Your Homes Newcastle services Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 4.30pm. In our Customer Information Zone customers can also access council services and online transactions via the internet and use a Freephone service to contact other council departments.

Book a Toy

Is a free loan service for parents, carers and their children under eight years. This service has been developed by the Newcastle Toy Library Forum in partnership with Gosforth/Parklands Sure Start North Children's Centre and Newcastle Libraries.

Dedicated book collections are available to those with mild and moderate mental health problems including stress, anxiety, phobias and self esteem. As well as a wide range of books which include titles recommended by health professionals, there is useful website information, leaflets and a set of self help booklets.
