How can I see which properties are available?

Properties are advertised every week between Thursday and Monday. You can see the homes that are available now below or sign up to receive a weekly alert from us here .

How can I book a viewing or apply for one of these homes?

Newcastle City Council and YHN are part of Tyne and Wear Homes, a lettings partnership that allows you to search and apply for social housing across Tyne and Wear. You must register with Tyne and Wear Homes in order to bid for a property. The easiest way to do this is on the Tyne and Wear Homes website. You can call us for advice on 0191 277 2020.

How to make a bid

Active members of the scheme can bid for up to three properties between 00.01am on a Thursday up until 11.59pm on a Monday. Being the first or last bid doesn’t matter. Allocation of a property is based on your current household need, banding eligibility and length of time you have been in your band.
