Welcome to Foster A Future, Newcastle City Council's Fostering Team
Thank you for thinking about fostering with Newcastle. Our website has lots of useful information about the process to becoming a carer and the different types of fostering you could do.
We recruit foster carers from all types of backgrounds because each child in our care is an individual with their own needs, experiences and personality. If you are able to provide stability, security and support to children of all ages and circumstances, we'd like to hear from you.
You can foster through our mainstream, Build A Future, Supported Lodgings, Short Breaks, Respite and Community fostering programmes. You can find more about these schemes here.
We offer you lots of support and training and we pay you to foster.
We welcome enquiries from anyone within a 50-mile radius of Newcastle Upon Tyne, so if you're over 21, have a spare room and could offer a loving and supportive home to a child, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us today and speak with our Recruitment and Engagement Officer, Sam. She will be more than happy to chat to you about your fostering options and the benefits of changing a child's future.
Foster Carer Information Evenings:
We are still recruiting amid the coronavirus pandemic, more creatively than ever. However, we have no planned face-to-face information evenings for the moment. But if you're interested in a rewarding and challenging career working with children, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us to find out more.
