The professionals that work with young people continue to be incredibly important in helping individuals to make the right choice about their future learning and careers.  A wide range of professionals that deliver learning, provide additional support for young people and those that provide information, advice and guidance will be vital in the implementation of the new Participation Age.

Over the last three years Newcastle has been involved in national pilot activity that is aimed at developing tools and methodology to help local areas implement the Raising of the Participation Age.

The following resources provide a range of materials that are aimed at helping inform and prepare professionals for the challenge of assisting all young people to remain in learning.
