The Control of Poisons and Explosives Precursors Regulations 2015

The Control of Poisons and Explosives Precursors Regulations 2015 SI 2015 No. 966 amended the Poisons Act 1972 so that Local Authorities and Trading Standards services will no longer have any legal duties in relation to the Poisons Act 1972 i.e. businesses will no longer be required to register in a local authority list to sell certain poisons and Trading Standards will no longer be required to enforce the legislative requirements.

The amended legislation requires members of the general public to have a licence issued by the Home Office and enforced by the Police before they can acquire certain poisons and suppliers would only be able to supply to licence holders. Go to the Home Office website.
