You can pay your bill by a number of methods:

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the easiest and most convenient way to pay and you have all the control. If you have the authority to authorise Direct Debit please phone the Business rates team on 0191 278 7878 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4.30pm on Friday or print off the application form and send it to us at

Standing order

You can set up a standing order with your bank.  They will give you a form to fill in indicating the amount to be paid each month.
