Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the easiest and most convenient way to pay and you have all the control. It is also very cost effective for the council which in turn helps us keep council tax low. You need a bank or building society account and all you have to do is fill in a Direct Debit application form or phone us on 0191 278 7878 and set up your instruction over the phone. You can also access this form online here.  Once a Direct Debit is set up you do not need to complete a new instruction every year.

Standing order

You can set up a standing order with your bank. They will give you a form to fill in which you will need to complete quoting the monthly payments specified on your council tax bill.
