New Year’s Eve
Say goodbye to 2012 and welcome in 2013 in style. This year, take the hassle out of organising your New Year’s Eve celebrations and head down to one of the bars and restaurants on the NewcastleGateshead Quayside.
Just before the clock strikes midnight take the celebrations outside to see the Midnight Fireworks display, drawing a close to 2012 and the start of 2013.

Over the Christmas period the Customer Service Centres and Contact Centres will be open as normal, except on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when they will close early at 3pm.

You can take your tree to temporary collection points across the city or take your tree to your local household waste recycling centre.
You can put your plain Christmas cards into your blue recycling bin but remember only plain cards can be recycled - cards that are decorated with glitter or musical cards cannot be recycled.
