Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) role includes:
Everyone registered to vote in the police force area will be able to vote, including British, EU and Commonwealth citizens living in the UK.
Most people register to vote using the form they receive each year by post from Electoral Services. If you haven’t completed one of these forms, you may not be on the electoral register. You must be registered to vote by Wednesday 31 October 2012.
You should receive a poll card, which will advise you of your voting arrangements. If you don’t receive a poll card, you can ask your local council where the polling station is. You don’t need your poll card to vote, so don’t worry if you lose or forget it.
Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm. If you have not been issued with a ballot paper by 10pm you won’t be able to vote. To avoid queues or missing out on your vote - make sure you know which polling station you need to go to and get there in plenty of time.
