Service User Event

On Friday 27th April 2007, we held a service user event at Gosforth Civic Hall to find out how service users want to be involved planning and checking Supporting People services. At the event, Youith Voice, a service user-led group which reviews young peoples’ services, gave a presentation on the work they do. This was followed by small workshops where service users and carers spoke about what was important to them. The day was an overwhelming success - over 80 people attended on the day with a rich mix of service users, volunteers and staff from service providers and existing service user-led groups. There was a lot of lively discussions and many ideas for future involvement. We would like to thank everybody who took time out to talk to us.

To find out more about the day please read our special newsletter and presentations below.
