This section outlines what is happening in the areas shaded purple on the map
- Haymarket – serving the north of the City Centre and connecting to bus services from the north.
- Central Station – connecting to regional and national railways, buses and Metro.
- Market Street (Monument) - serving the City Centre and east/west bus and Metro connections.
- Stops common to both services are provided at Market Street and Grey Street with a 5 minute service between the City Centre and Quayside.
- John Dobson Street and Percy Street are used as a circular route around the City Centre.
The two Quaylink Services share the same route between Central Quayside (Guildhall) and the Monument, with an intermediate stop on Grey Street, just to the north of Mosley Street.
The service between Central Station and Gateshead interchange travels through Grainger Street before observing a stop at Monument Metro Station. The bus then travels down Dean Street to the Guildhall before travelling over the Swing Bridge to Gateshead. The second service operates from East Quayside to Haymarket bus station adopting a circular route around the City Centre, using both Percy Street and John Dobson Street.
