Steve Andrew - Regeneration Manager
As Manager responsible for the overall SRB Regeneration Programme and Lead Officer for the Preparing For Change Board the Regeneration Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Scheme achieves all its agreed aims and targets and that Programme is fully compliant with national guidance. The Manager works closely with Board Members and other stakeholders to ensure regeneration activity through this programme enhances and adds value to the overall regeneration of the City.

Background
Steve previously worked for a number of years in Social Strategy and Social Inclusion posts in the North East of Scotland. He moved to Newcastle to work in the Newcastle West Into Work (SRB5) in 2000 and progressed to become Manager of that programme in 2003. He joined the Preparing for Change Team as Manager in May 2004 and brings experience of programme delivery, development as well as the skills to ensure a managed finish to the schemes.

His latest high risk project was to join a local leek club (having never grown a leek in his life) and the Team wish him well in this venture.






Alison Szrama - Assistant Regeneration Manager
The Assistant Regeneration Manager is responsible for appraising new projects, liaising closely with community and voluntary sector agencies and partners, supporting and evaluating the performance of approved projects within the Scheme to encourage closing links between projects and the community.

Background
Alison previously worked for a number of years in the community/voluntary sector as both a Grants Manager and a Community Development Worker. She moved to Newcastle to work in North Benwell for an SRB3 initiative organising events and activities for local organisations and community groups. Alison joined the Preparing For Change Team as Assistant Regeneration Manager in April 2004 bringing a knowledge of monitoring and evaluating projects, understanding of a wide range of funding sources, and experience of working across a number of sectors.

Alison has a wide variety of interests which include travel, science and technology, and is mother to several pets including a greyhound called Dolly who doesn't like to run!


John Pinnock - Senior Accountant
The Accountant has responsibility for preparing financial accounts, processing claims and monitoring of the Preparing For Change Scheme on behalf of the Preparing For Change Board and Newcastle City Council (the accountable body).

Janet Roberts – Monitoring Co-ordinator
The Monitoring Co-ordinator has responsibility for monitoring the performance of approved projects and publicising both individual projects and the overall Preparing For Change Scheme.

Background
Janet worked for a number of years in the private sector before joining the East End Partnership (SRB2) Team in 1997. After gaining experience in community regeneration she moved to the Preparing For Change Team as Monitoring Co-ordinator in 2001. Janet brings previous experience of working with organisations across various sectors together with knowledge of monitoring and publicising SRB programmes and their projects.

Janet likes nothing better than getting away from it all into the middle of nowhere, doing a bit of camping and walking. She can generally be found at weekends wading through muddy fields and up mountains.







Christine James - Administrator
The Administrator provides support to the Preparing For Change Staff Team.

Background
Christine jointed Newcastle City Council in 1985 and has worked in a variety of departments including Community Programmes and Economic Development. She transferred to Preparing For Change in October 2004 bringing a wealth of experience in administration and secretarial procedures. Christine enjoys travel, music and going to the theatre which recently involved dressing up as a nun to attend a performance of The Sound of Music!
