The Development Management service is responsible for a wide range of planning related issues. These include planning, listed building and conservation area applications, appeals, works to trees, enforcement and related compliance matters. The Development Management service also provides a multi disciplinary advisory service on planning urban design, landscape and ecology and the historic environment to promote and enhance the quality of Newcastle’s environment.
