The Road Safety Team are key partners with the Fire Service at SafetyWorks!, an interactive safety centre.
The centre is made up of several scenarios used for delivering safety 
messages in a controlled environment. Included is a burnt out room, an open water course, a road with a puffin crossing and a hospital.
In 2010 the Road Safety Team worked with children and adults using the road scenario. The fully operational puffin crossing, a road scene video wall, crossing points and parking restrictions allows practical sessions to take place in complete safety. Participants can practice crossing the road and discuss hazards with a member of the Road Safety team.
