The Road Safety team attend many events each year to meet members of the public and deliver educational messages.
Over the last year we have attended events such as the Mela, the Green Festival, Car Seat Clinics, Wellbeing events in hospitals and Road Respect Week at the Monument.
We have set up stalls in the Grainger Market, schools and university freshers fairs to distribute leaflets, resources and talk to thousands of people.

Cycle Smart Events
Cycle Smart Proficiency Training at TA Centre, Debdon Gardens on 2nd & 3rd April, 2012, 10.00am-3.00pm. Come along, its free, own bike required, learn to ride safely. To book a place contact Gail Simmons, Road Safety Officer, Newcastle City Council, 0191 2115962.
