Newcastle City Council and Groundwork North East are working together to give people the opportunity to get involved in monitoring the air quality where they live. The council wants to help hard-pressed families in the city currently dealing with public spending cuts and welfare changes.</p><p>Last year the council set out a three-year budget to show the public the extent of the financial challenges facing the council.
