A prestigious workshop for freight transport planners from across Europe is being held on Tyneside.
Taking place on Thursday 4 October at the Sage Gateshead, the workshop is part of the C-LIEGE (Clean Last mile transport and logistics management for smart and Efficient local Governments in Europe) programme, a major European project in which Newcastle is participating.
The project seeks to promote and disseminate good practice in energy-efficient freight distribution and the workshop will give an opportunity to share good practice and to review the various initiatives being delivered through C-LIEGE.
As part of the project, Newcastle is sharing knowledge on the establishment of Freight Quality Partnerships with other cities in Europe, drawing on the expertise and advice of the Tyne and Wear Freight Partnership.
The workshop lasts from 9.30am until 3.30pm and lunch is provided.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please email with your details.
If you would like further information about C-LIEGE and Newcastle’s involvement, please email Gary MacDonald or phone 0191 277897.
