Leazes Homes, a charitable subsidiary of Your Homes Newcastle, has launched a new scheme to bring empty properties back into use and provide affordable homes for people in need.

Empty properties cost money - they are targets for vandalism and crime, are expensive to insure and can easily fall into disrepair. If you own an empty property in Newcastle, keeping it empty could be costing you over £7,000 a year.

Lease your empty property to Leazes Homes and they will act as a managing agent. They will:

  • find a suitable tenant
  • collect rent
  • deal with the administrative and legal side of the tenancy
  • deal with queries from the tenant
  • arrange for repairs and maintenance
  • invest in your property to bring it up to the Decent Homes Standard.

There is no management or financial obligation during the lease period and the property will be maintained and returned in good condition at the end of the lease.
