Brinkburn Centre, Byker, managed and run by our library service, has been awarded a Bronze Award from national charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The centre was nominated by Ian Brink, who regularly uses the centre alongside his dog Jumble.
Brinkburn offers free access to computers and the internet, printing and photocopying facilities and free information and advice about courses.
Janice Hall, Access to Learning Manager for our Library Service said: “We were delighted to be nominated for this award by Ian who is a regular visitor to Brinkburn Centre. We always look forward to his visits and to making a fuss of Jumble.
