There are some exciting developments on the horizon as we are introducing self-service in four more libraries across the city. The libraries moving to self-service are Outer West, East End, Blakelaw and Jesmond. They will need to close temporarily in order for the necessary work to be carried out. We have two dates set:
East End will close for a week from Monday 11 October before re-opening on Monday18 October
We are in the process of finalising the dates for the other libraries at the moment and you can find out more information on the implementation of self-service on the Newcastle Libraries blog.
Keep up to date with our latest events, read staff blog entries and listen to our podcasts on the fantastic Newcastle Libraries blog. Don't forget to subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter so you can keep up to date with what’s happening in a library near you.
Use our online library catalogue, to search for a book, CD, DVD or other items in stock. You can also access your library account to renew items.

hours of all our branches.
Enquire is a free service which allows you to chat to a global network of library staff who are trained to help you find answers to your questions around the clock. Find out more about Enquire.
