Parks, allotments, areas of grass and trees around our houses and other green spaces are a vital part of our city. They give us a place to rest, relax and play.
With joint funding from Going for Growth and Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, a small team was set up to deliver the strategy. The project officers were in post from April 2002 until March 2004. We have drawn up a plan/strategy to help us care for our green spaces. This plan or strategy is about the future of our green spaces and is intended to guide the way we improve and care for our parks and public places and to help us to meet communities aspirations for improving the quality of life in our city.
The final strategy is now completed click on 'Greenspaces...your spaces' (pdf 2.51 mb).
