The Council is in the process of implementing a new pay and grading structure under the national Single Status agreement. The salary for jobs earning a basic between £15,470 and £46,479 is subject to that review and may therefore change in the next 12 to 18 months.

Educational Achievement Liaison Worker

£24,402 - £26,016 per annum, pro rata
18.50 hours per week

We are looking to appoint an Educational Achievement Liaison Worker to be part of Aspire, an innovative Multi-disciplinary Support Team for Looked After Children. The team works closely with the Looked After Children Social Work Service and Fostering Team and is committed to improving outcomes for Looked After Children. The post will be based in the Educational Achievement and Health Support Team (EAHST).

You will need to be self-motivating and have experience of working with young people, parents, carers, social workers and school staff. A good understanding of education procedures relating to exclusion, Special Educational Needs, attendance and school admissions and the ability to act as a strong advocate for Looked After Children are essential requirements.
