The Council is in the process of implementing a new pay and grading structure under the national Single Status agreement. The salary for jobs earning a basic between £15,470 and £46,479 is subject to that review and may therefore change in the next 12 to 18 months.

Required from 1st September 2009, a suitably qualified and experienced person to manage the extended Schools provision in this ‘Outstanding’ inner city school (Ofsted March 2007). We are seeking an enthusiastic and effective Manager with the ability to lead, develop and enhance the existing excellent extended schools provision within the school. The successful applicant will be responsible for co-ordinating access to a range of provision for children, young people and their families, including a varied programme of activities, parenting support and wider community access to the school’s facilities. Other responsibilities will include, being an active member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team and to line manage classroom assistants. Candidates must have recent experience of working with and supporting children in a range of activities and situations. Experience in working with EAL and/or SEN pupils, whilst not essential, would be an advantage.
