Two adjacent 1960's office blocks,
currently vacant.
Both buildings are out of scale with the Grainger Town surroundings and the
opportunity exists for a comprehensive redevelopment for mixed uses of offices,
leisure and residential, together with associated car parking.
Westgate House has now been acquired by ONE NorthEast on behalf of The Grainger
Town Partnership for demolition.
Discussions are ongoing regarding the appropriate scale and massing of any
subsequent redevelopment.
It is anticipated that demolition will occur in the summer of 2002.
